The production of “Supernova” will run during the summer of 2027 at the Pitlochry Festival Theatre, where Cumming currently serves as artistic director. “I am so excited to welcome Ewan, a fellow Perthshire home boy, to Pitlochry Festival Theatre for this extraordinary theatre event,” said Cumming. Added McGregor: “I am so delighted to be working at Pitlochry Festival Theatre next summer on the beautiful ‘Supernova’ with my old friend Alan. I have been very moved by the work so far on the text by Harry Macqueen who is adapting his own screenplay. The Pitlochry Festival Theatre production of “Supernova” will run from July 24 until August 21 2007.
