Qatar’s Attorney General has ordered an investigation into a woman holding Qatari citizenship accused of coordinating an alleged scheme to expedite forged medical leave certificates to students and government employees.
Qatar’s Attorney General for Public Prosecution, Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al-Nuaimi, has ordered an investigation following allegations of forgery of official documents and misuse of public funds.
Authorities also indicated that the suspect coordinated with individuals overseas to facilitate the issuance of forged medical leave certificates falsely attributed to Qatar’s Hamad Medical Corporation.
As per the Public Prosecution report, the certificates were allegedly provided in exchange for payments transferred to the woman’s bank account.
