Isaiah William Smith, of Chillicothe, is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after authorities alleged he was driving while impaired by marijuana during a traffic stop earlier this year, according to court records. Court documents state Smith remained on a phone call throughout the traffic stop. According to court records, Smith denied smoking marijuana before the traffic stop, stating he had just finished work and had been running errands. Authorities allege that after being advised of his Miranda rights, Smith admitted he had smoked marijuana approximately one hour or less before the traffic stop. He is also charged with misdemeanor driving while revoked, alleging he knowingly operated a vehicle while his driver’s license was revoked.
