Bright Futures Trenton will hold its ninth annual back-to-school event Thursday, Aug. 6, offering free supplies and services to students and families across Grundy County. Resources come from individuals, businesses, Stuff the Bus collections, and purchases made in Trenton and nearby communities with money donated to Bright Futures Trenton. Derek Hurt, a Bright Futures plan team member and Rissler Site Council member, is organizing the project with Bright Futures co-coordinator Terri Critten. Owners Jim and Angie Bush are longtime Bright Futures Trenton partners and supporters of local children. Updated information will be posted on the Bright Futures Trenton Facebook page, and an event flyer summarizes the services available at each Aug. 6 location.
