This rush to judgment serves no one, least of all the grieving families who deserve the truth. The Government of Guyana has appointed experienced and internationally respected professionals to serve on the Commission of Inquiry. Equally troubling was the despicable disruption and protest in Parliament. A Commission of Inquiry exists to establish the facts, hear witnesses, review evidence, and produce findings and recommendations. The families affected by this tragedy deserve truth, accountability and closure.
