The Herricks Board of Education appointed Kerry Farrell as the district’s new assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction during its June 23 meeting. She joins the district from Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School, where she has served as principal since 2022. “Kerry Farrell is an exceptional educational leader who brings a wealth of instructional expertise and a deeply collaborative approach to our district,” Superintendent Tony Sinanis said. Before becoming principal, Farrell served as an assistant principal, literacy coach, data specialist and elementary school teacher. She holds New York state professional certifications as a school district leader and school building leader, along with permanent certification in prekindergarten through sixth-grade elementary education.
