Moroccan cinemas sold 2.19 million tickets and generated MAD 129.78 million (about $13 million) in revenue in 2025, marking the fifth consecutive year of growth, according to annual figures released Monday by the Moroccan Cinematographic Center (CCM). Box office revenue followed a similar upward trend, reaching MAD 129.78 million in 2025, up from MAD 127.65 million in 2024. Moroccan films continued to dominate the domestic box office, recording 1.03 million tickets and generating MAD 56.34 million in revenue. The country allocated MAD 15.9 million in 2025 to support the construction, digitalization, and modernization of cinemas. Investment in cinema infrastructure has increased significantly over the past decade, with government support rising from MAD 2.52 million in 2015 to MAD 15.9 million in 2025, according to the CCM.
