The French subsidiary of German rail infrastructure company Vossloh and Portuguese manufacturer Futrifer have signed a joint venture to provide track maintenance services for Morocco’s national railway and several urban rail networks, according to RailWay pro. Vossloh Services France and Futrifer launched Vossloh Futrifer Services Maroc on July 1. Headquartered in Casablanca, the company will serve the national network managed by state-owned rail operator ONCF, as well as urban rail systems in Casablanca and Rabat. The venture will provide turnout maintenance, manual and robot-assisted rail welding, grinding, milling, and other track services. “Through the joint venture Vossloh Futrifer Services Maroc, we are strengthening our position in North Africa and supporting sustainable mobility in one of the continent’s most dynamic markets,” Vossloh Rail Services Managing Director Marcel Taubert said.
