The Odyssey (2026)When Christopher Nolan hired Jennifer Lame to edit Tenet, his 2020 sci-fi action thriller, she’d never worked on a project quite like it before. It’s a style Nolan had been honing for two decades, starting with his self-edited low-budget debut Following (1998). The Odyssey is Nolan and Lame’s third collaboration, after her Oscar-winning work on Oppenheimer (2023). Recalling the challenges of editing Oppenheimer, Lame said, “We would do passes of the film tailored to each character. Homer’s Odyssey is itself a story told out of order, with nesting narratives, tangents, and conflicting perspectives.
