In Christ, God entered our broken world, experienced sorrow, pain, rejection, and death, so that suffering would never have the final word. Prayer without compassion becomes empty words, while service without prayer easily becomes exhausted human effort. Yet these difficult seasons also reveal something beautiful—the strength of a community united in faith, hope, and love. Times of suffering often bring forth extraordinary compassion, generosity, and unity among God’s people. Instead, they provide opportunities for the Church to demonstrate the heart of Christ through sacrificial love, faithful service, and unwavering hope.
