68% would rather invest in people than AI, consumer survey finds

Nearly everyone has tried AI – in fact, a new national consumer survey by Howdy.com discovered 96% have tried it. What’s the verdict? According to the survey, mixed:86% use AI currently, nearly all who use it find it useful51% say it’s overhyped; 54% are unwilling to pay to use it1 in 3 trust AI above social media; 1 in 5 trust it above government agencies77% say AI makes people lazy; 57% say it reduces critical thinkingAmericans primarily use AI to search for information and compare products; 42% consult it for health or mental health advice.
