Man Seeks To Dismiss Charges In Teen’s Death
[]
WISR 680 AM – Butler, PA
A hearing date has been scheduled in the case of the man who allegedly hit and killed a teenager in Butler Township.
Rule 600 guarantees a right to a speedy trial by setting the days between placement in jail and the trial date at 180 days.
Earlier this year it was ruled that Rivera had passed the 180-day limit but bail was denied.
Defense attorneys are now arguing the 365-day limit has passed and charges must dismiss.
