Delbert Dean DeForest, 89, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, family, service, and quiet strength. Del was born on October 9, 1936, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Manuel and Lucille DeForest. Following his military service, Del earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Indiana Institute of Technology. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Annette DeForest; his sons Wade DeForest and Arthur Manuel, his son-in-law, Joseph Dutra and his brothers, Alan DeForest and Richard DeForest. Military honors will be rendered by the United States Air Force in grateful recognition of Del’s honorable and faithful service to his country.
