(IN BRIEF) FTSE Russell, LSEG’s global index provider, has announced that its Paris-based subsidiary FTSE EU SAS has received authorisation from ESMA to endorse third-country significant and climate benchmarks under the EU Benchmark Regulation. The milestone follows FTSE EU SAS’s authorisation as a benchmark administrator by France’s Autorité des Marchés Financiers in November 2025. The authorisation allows FTSE EU SAS to endorse third-country significant and climate benchmarks for use in the European Union under the EU Benchmark Regulation. Gerald Toledano, General Manager at FTSE EU SAS, said the ESMA authorisation for endorsement is an important milestone for FTSE Russell and its clients across Europe. The ESMA endorsement authorisation follows the authorisation of FTSE EU SAS as a benchmark administrator by the Autorité des Marchés Financiers in November 2025.
