Local stories suggest it may have been built for a ship’s captain, while the name "Chelsea House" is believed to have come from a London owner who moved down from Chelsea in the early 20th century. For nearly a decade they ran Chelsea House as a nine-bedroom B&B, earning a reputation for warm hospitality, stylish interiors and attention to detail.
