Deli Folk has been open for just a matter of days but Steve Cook said the response from customers has surpassed his expectations. The 41-year-old opened the shop on Belle Vue Terrace this month, after leaving his corporate job. While he had been sharing the process of getting the shop ready to open on Instagram, Mr Cook said he hadn't officially announced the opening date until the very last minute. It's been busy, we've been selling out of sandwiches. Among the positive feedback he has received, Mr Cook said customers and neighbouring businesses are relieved to see the space filled.
