Sadie Muriel Francis FowleSadie Muriel Francis Fowle, age 91, a resident of Washington, NC died Sunday July 26, 2026 at her home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Saturday August 1, 2026 at First Presbyterian Church in Washington and will be officiated by Dr. Judy Siker. Mrs. Fowle was born on September 26, 1934, in Northampton County, NC to the late Marshall Francis and the late Nettie Brittle Francis. Survivors include her sons, Samuel R. Fowle, IV and wife Christine of Southern Pines, John M. Fowle and wife Susan of Greenville, a daughter, Frannye Fowle of Washington, three grandchildren, Marshall Fowle and wife Jenny, Elizabeth Fowle, and Mary Margaret Fowle Alligood and husband Thomas Alligood, two great grandchildren, Jack Fowle and Whit Alligood, and two sisters, Kay Dunlap, and Una Thompson. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 211 West 2nd Street, Washington, NC 27889 or Turnage Theatre, 150 W. Main Street, Washington, NC 27889.
