Bow Echo (#10) beat Gstaad (#19 from #18) in the latter race, while Opera Ballo (#28 from #27) was third in the former behind 50/1 winner Ten Bob Tony (#134 from #142), also in this field. Nine of 12 winners were rated 119 or higher, a mark only Bow Echo, Gstaad, Opera Ballo, Ten Bob Tony and Lake Forest (#889 from #919) reach.
