Starting with young voicesEach of the day’s three panel discussions opened with short interviews with young industry professionals and trade unionists, giving the floor to those who are still finding their footing in the sector. The second panel turned to the conditions under which students and young professionals in the sector learn and work. The afternoon’s final session focused on how young workers can get clear, timely information about their rights and how unions, schools and other sector bodies can reach them earlier. A shared conclusion across contributions: young workers organised together are far less exposed than young workers acting alone, and reaching out to them as early as possible is key to defending their rights.
