A pilot has died after a small aircraft crashed near an Arizona airport. Emergency crews were called to the scene after a 911 caller reported a plane had gone down near Chandler Airport on Tuesday evening. The crash happened near the intersection of McQueen and Queen Creek roads at about 7:50 p.m. local time. The pilot, who was the only person on board, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Chandler Fire Department is working alongside airport officials, local police, and the Federal Aviation Administration to determine the cause of the crash.
