Students Receive Scholarships, Bursaries in Ogun State

More than 5,000 indigent students in Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria, have received scholarships and bursaries under the 2025/2026 education support programme of the Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Solomon Adeola.
The initiative is aimed at reducing school dropout rates and improving access to higher education for students from low-income families.
According to him, the latest edition comprises 1,735 scholarship recipients and 3,778 bursary beneficiaries drawn from universities, polytechnics and colleges of education.
He said “university students would receive ₦200,000 each, while beneficiaries in polytechnics and colleges of education would receive ₦150,000.
He expressed confidence that the programme would continue to provide educational opportunities for more students across the state.
