Llandovery Town Council is considering borrowing money to install new play equipment at Maesglas Park and avoid further delays. The decision was approved at the council’s July meeting after 134 people took part in an online poll about the park, with feedback now central to a grant application for upgrading the play area. Councillors emphasised that borrowing would only be taken out once the grant application is successful and work is ready to begin. Maesglas Park has been the subject of repeated calls for improvement from local families, who say the current play equipment is tired and limited for younger children. Residents will now await the outcome of the Maesglas Park grant application and, if successful, hope to see swift progress on the long-promised improvements.
