Sovol has launched the M1D, an open-source IDEX (Independent Dual Extruder) 3D printer with a fixed dual-extruder architecture and interchangeable toolheads that support up to seven independently heated toolheads (one fixed and six swappable).
It also features a six-channel automatic filament system and an AI chamber camera to detect foreign objects and failed prints.
The Sovol M1D is currently available on Kickstarter, which has already raised more than $2.7 million from over 1,700 backers with 29 days remaining.
Early Bird rewards start at HK$10,184 (~$1,299) for the M1D Essential and HK$12,536 (~$1,599) for the M1D Advanced, excluding shipping.
Additionally, there are optional add-ons, including the Sovol SH03 Filament Dryer and heavily discounted PLA and PETG filament bundles.
