Morocco is taking important steps to improve water security as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) strengthen their partnership to modernize the country’s water infrastructure.
The initiative aims to improve drinking water services, increase operational efficiency and support Morocco’s response to growing climate-related water challenges.
The funding will support upgrades to water infrastructure, improve service delivery and enhance the long-term sustainability of Morocco’s drinking water systems.
Previous collaborations have focused on improving water supply networks, expanding access to drinking water and enhancing the efficiency of water management systems across the country.
Water security has become an increasingly important issue for Morocco as the country faces prolonged periods of drought and growing demand for reliable water services.
