OpenAI recently revealed plans to expand its European headquarters in the city of Dublin. The company leased an 88,000 sq ft office at the Tropical Fruit Warehouse in Dublin’s docklands, where it will relocate its European headquarters later in 2026. The ChatGPT-maker currently employs more than 100 people in the city, where it established its European headquarters in 2023. Alongside the new roles, OpenAI also intends to expand its ‘OpenAI for Ireland’ programme, which supports young developers, start-ups and SMEs with AI skills and training. Ireland also hosts the European headquarters of technology giants including Meta, Apple and Google.
