Wireless services accounted for most of the subscriber growth during the month, with wireless connections crossing the 1.3 billion mark. Wireless subscriber base crosses 1.3 billionIndia’s overall wireless subscriber base, including mobile and FWA connections, increased by 5.79 million during June 2026 to reach 1,300.25 million. The urban wireless subscriber base stood at 749.39 million, while rural connections reached 550.86 million. Mobile broadband remained the largest segment with 1,021.43 million connections, while wired broadband reached 47.71 million connections and fixed wireless broadband stood at 18.36 million connections. In terms of active subscriber numbers, Airtel recorded 483.23 million active subscribers out of its 486.80 million subscriber base, while Jio had 498.89 million active users from its 503.58 million subscriber base.
