Temperatures are expected to reach 35C across south east England on Wednesday, with hot, dry conditions increasing the likelihood of wildfires in parts of London, the South East, and eastern England. The UK Health Security Agency has issued an amber heat-health alert for the South East, which will remain in place from Tuesday to Thursday. The Met Office has warned that the fire risk could become “exceptionally severe” if blazes ignite. "Most wildfires are avoidable, and we’re asking everyone to take extra care during the hot weather to help keep their communities safe."
