Family of former building inspector ask lawyers to investigate asbestos-related death

An inquest into his death concluded that Richard died of mesothelioma.
Following the 84-year-old’s death, his family, including wife Elizabeth Smith, 82, instructed expert asbestos-related disease lawyers at Irwin Mitchell to investigate his illness and where he was exposed to asbestos.

An inquest into his death was held on 18 October 2024 and concluded that Richard died of mesothelioma.
“While it’s approaching two years since Richard died the pain of losing him doesn’t get easier.
