The Oxfordshire charity ARCh (Assisted Reading for Children) celebrated a combined total of 117 years of service at its annual summer meeting, held on July 14 in Kidlington.
Jawaid Malik, the High Sheriff of Oxfordshire, presented long service awards to volunteers marking between five and 15 years of support in more than 100 primary schools across the county.
"It was wonderful to celebrate their incredible commitment, which this year totals an amazing 117 years of service."
"I'm proud and privileged to receive the Christopher Quinton Award."
ARCh currently supports more than 100 Oxfordshire primary schools through the efforts of around 250 volunteers.
