Apple will task Samsung Display as the exclusive supplier for the touchscreen OLED panels. This is a noteworthy development as previous rumors also pointed to LG Display as a possible supplier for the upcoming MacBooks. LG reportedly offered to use its sixth-generation OLED line while Samsung offered its more efficient 8.6-generation OLED line. According to the new report, Samsung will supply an estimated 2.5 million OLED display units for the upcoming MacBooks. Samsung is also expected to be the exclusive OLED panel supplier for the upcoming iPhone Ultra.
