The state is even offering an $800 credit to offset students’ lost Howard enrollment deposits. Meanwhile, the University of the District of Columbia–the District’s only other historically Black college and university–extended its enrollment deadline specifically to accommodate displaced Howard students, according to Inside Higher Ed. Still, when students complained about housing, Howard remained the dream school. Howard officials announced over 40 students have been reinstated following an official review of their original disenrollment last week, according to ABC News.
