Lou approached The Sunnywood Project about supporting the run, and it was successfully relaunched under the organisation’s umbrella in 2021. She said many runners who first attended Burrs Community Run as beginners have gone on to achieve major milestones. "There’s so many lovely stories of people who have come and started their running journey at Burrs Community Run and they’re now running ultras, marathons, and trail races."
