The snaps offer a glimpse of the cast in character ahead of the nationwide run of 9 to 5: The Musical, which comes to the Ipswich Regent Theatre from Tuesday, August 18 to Saturday, August 22. Set in the late 1970s, the musical is described as "outrageous, thought-provoking, and even a little romantic," exploring themes of friendship and revenge. It follows the lives of Violet, Judy, and Doralee, who turn their workplace upside down after devising a scheme to get back at their boss. Paul Jepson, director of the production, said: "It reflects our ambition to create bold, popular musical theatre at scale, with exceptional acting, reaching audiences far beyond our own venues. Mr Jepson directs the production, with musical supervision by Mark Crossland and set and costume design by Amanda Stoodley.
