Police were called at 5am on Sunday, July 26 to reports of a person in the water at Neptune Quay. Officers attended the scene along with crews from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service and East of England Ambulance. A spokesman for the police said: "A man was recovered from the water and taken to Ipswich Hospital where he sadly died a short time later."
