The new waste collection scheme, which began on June 1, aimed to increase recycling at the kerbside in line with new national targets.
Households were given a red bin for paper and card, and a blue bin for glass, metals and plastics, in addition to their black, green, and food waste bins.
Since launch, the council has reported a strong start overall but admitted there have been some challenges as crews adapted to new collection routes.
