Jason Derulo, Romanian producer DJ Goja and Brazilian singer Melody have unveiled the official music video for their new collaboration, “Mi Chico,” expanding on a track that had already gained momentum across social media before its full release. DJ Goja said the song was inspired by his passion for deep house music and Afro-influenced production, adding, “I’ve always loved deep house music and my production has been recently inspired by Afro influences. I wanted to make a song that could touch listeners emotionally while also being something they could dance to, and that’s how ‘Mi Chico’ came to life.” Derulo echoed that enthusiasm, saying, “I’ve been heavily inspired by Afro House recently, and ‘Mi Chico’ was one of those songs that instantly felt special.
