Engineering faculty members appointed to Paascu posts

TWO members of the Faculty of Engineering have been appointed to posts in the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU), a private organization that evaluates academic programs nationwide.
Assistant Prof. Carlito Gutierrez and Associate Prof. Cristina Tiangco have been appointed to positions in PAASCU’s Commission on Engineering and Architecture Education.
Gutierrez, chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering, was named commission chair, while Tiangco, chair of the Department of Chemical Engineering, will serve as a member.
An alumnus of the University’s undergraduate electrical engineering program, Gutierrez also earned a master’s degree in management engineering from UST.
Tiangco earned her bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, a Master of Science in chemistry, and a Doctor of Philosophy in educational management and leadership from UST.
