Mumbai: As devastating floods continue to wreak havoc across Assam, reportedly affecting lakhs of people and leaving thousands displaced, actor Salman Khan has stepped forward to support relief efforts. The first phase is already underway, with the distribution of ready-to-eat meals and other essential supplies in the worst-affected areas. Besides food, the initiative also plans to distribute medicines, drinking water, sanitary napkins, mosquito repellents and other daily essentials to flood-affected families. Assam has witnessed widespread devastation due to the floods, with lakhs of people affected across multiple districts. According to a report by Hindustan Times, the death toll has risen to 68 as rescue and relief operations continue across the state.
