Chesil Theatre, based in a listed medieval church on Chesil Street, is moving forward with a major expansion as part of its plan to become a modern community performance centre. Paul Riddell, chairman of Chesil Theatre, said: "This season marks the start of an ambitious journey – not just on stage, but in the life of Chesil itself, as we begin the work of revitalising and enhancing our historic home into the New Chesil Theatre. Chesil Theatre was granted planning permission for its expansion in November 2024, after a positive reception from councillors and residents. Amidst the work, Chesil Theatre invites audiences to book tickets for the six main productions this year.
