The City of Lloydminster is looking to auction off some Alberta properties.
“There are currently five Alberta properties that still have tax liens registered against them from the prior year,” said Adele Wakaruk, the city’s executive manager of corporate services.
The five properties have been assessed for their value and the highest assessed value is more than $6.2 million.
The city is looking to conduct a public auction at city hall on Nov. 26 at 10 a.m.To provide curbside appraisals for each property, the city obtained the services of a local realtor.
“I feel some reassurance that our assessed value and curbside appraisal are a lot closer than expected,” said Mayor Gerald Aalbers, noting the huge difference in the $6.2 million property.
