Finnish rail operator Reissujuna and German night train technology startup Luna Rail have entered into a partnership to launch a new generation of night train services in Finland. Reissujuna, developed by leisure rail operator Suomen Elämysjunat Oy, says that Lapland will serve as the partnership’s first commercial deployment environment. which will enable passengers to travel on premium day and night services with comfort and privacy. The overnight services that travel to the north of the country often sell out months in advance during winter. Demand for night services has been growing across Europe, with new company Nox joining the market last year.
