A temporary timetable is being introduced by South Western Railway and Network Rail Wessex from 10th August. The timetable will be in place between London Waterloo and Exeter St Davids due to the lack of rainfall. The heat and dry weather have caused soil shrinkage and clay embankments to dry out, which are supporting the line and impacting its stability.
