UVF graffiti scrubbed out and blasted as ‘unwanted’ by loyalist band

UVF graffiti in a Co Antrim village has been scrubbed out and condemned by the chairman of a local loyalist flute band.
While some flute bands attract criticism for taking part in parades linked to loyalist paramilitary commemorations, the Loyal Sons of William band has said its home village is “well and truly past” references to “proscribed organisations”.

The recent graffiti appeared as awards judges were visiting the area.
In a post to social media condemning the UVF tags throughout the village, the Ahoghill Loyal Sons of William said “our chairman Stephen McCooke was out removing unwanted and unnecessary graffiti”.
