Historic Belfast pub with a radical past ‘revived’ after more than 200 years

Dr Franklin Tavern, more commonly known as Peggy Barclay’s, was one of the meeting places of the Society of the United Irishmen during the 1790s. Its walls are adorned with the portraits of the famous radical figures who used to gather in the Dr Franklin Tavern.
