Stacy Mair’s death is being treated as murderThe husband of a woman who was murdered in Renfrewshire had been charged with assaulting her weeks before her death. Stacy Mair, 35, was found dead in a cottage in the village of Houston at about 7.50am on Monday. Her husband Jim Mair, 43, was also found dead at the cottage, with his death being treated as unexplained. Police Scotland’s major investigation team is looking into the incident and the area around the cottage has been sealed off. The pair were married in 2019 and Jim Mair ran a tree removal company called TRS Tree Management.
