Ex-Celtic defender Marvin Compper is in contention to be named manager of Royal Antwerp. Compper was brought to Glasgow by Brendan Rodgers in January 2018, as a 33-year-old central defender. Despite his lack of game time, Compper was rarely seen without a smile. Faris Haroun, the current interim boss at Antwerp, is close with Compper from the pair’s time doing coaching badges in Belgium. Antwerp are set to complete a takeover after finishing 11th in the Belgian Pro League last season, their worst finish in 28 years.
