The plan is to house a primary care clinic and sports medicine clinic under one roof, focused on injury treatment, rehabilitation, mobility and healthy aging. Kelly Hawes, SOS Healthcare Society, told council that there is no room for interested providers in the district and they want to change that. The new clinic will house all the Kelly Avenue clinic providers with room to recruit more providers, including specialists. Council has previously spoken on how Summerland is in a "crisis," with healthcare and locals unable to get a family doctor.
