The St. Joseph City Council will discuss the Long-Range Economic Development Strategy with the Chamber of Commerce and provide an update on Fire Station 10’s progress during a work session on August 3. The council adopted an economic development policy in May 2025, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, Buchanan County Commission, and St. Joseph School District, to guide the use of tax abatements and reimbursements for community development and job creation. The policy aims to develop public infrastructure and foster economic growth in the region.
