After the defensive tackle market hit a new high on Tuesday with Jalen Carter signing a four-year, $152 million extension with the Philadelphia Eagles, Leonard Williams picked a good time to talk about a new deal with the Seattle Seahawks. Speaking to reporters from training camp, Williams revealed he has had "conversations with the Seahawks even though no deal is imminent right now. Williams did admit he's not letting his contract status distract his focus from preparing for the upcoming season:"I try not to think about it, honestly. Williams is set to make $16.7 million in 2026, the final season of a three-year, $64.5 million contract signed in March 2024. They already took care of Jaxon Smith-Njigba in March with a four-year, $168.6 million extension.
