The latest bombings of Iran have ended with no success for the US president despite his earlier bragging. Last Thursday, as tit for tat strikes between the US and Iran reached a new intensity, Trump said: ‘I am considering a massive attack. Iran has made it clear any deal with Oman would include the levying of a toll on any vessel passing through the Strait. My own feeling is that Iran does not want a war in the Caspian and will be wary of getting drawn into any wider conflict. It distrusts the US deeply, including the signature of Donald Trump on any document, plus it feels it has the upper hand.
